This was a very last minute windy summer trip to Wales with my friend, I have never seen my little Polo so full, filled with camping gear, mountain bikes, body boards, camera equipment, and so much warm clothing, oh an I almost forgot fishing nets!
We set off early morning and arrived in Holyhead/anglesey at 11am! We pitched the tent up in the wind which I have to say was a real challenge! Grabbed some lunch out of our squished lunch bag that had got hidden under all of our stuff and headed down to the beach for bodyboarding.... it was freezing. The night was spent exploring around where we were staying, it was such a beautiful place and we could see the sea from our tent.

The next day was another day of exploring the coast, gorgeous walks and quite hidden sandy beaches where I couldn't help but make a sandcastle. The cliffs where stunning with so many wonderful colourful plants that lead right to the cliff edge.

The third day we put our mountain bike gear on and headed to Newborough forest for a mountain bike trail. The Forest was situated right on the side of a beach, it was fantastic the contrast between the forest and the sand was stunning. We started out on the short trail but I got persuaded and bribed by Ice cream by my friend that it would be a good idea to continue onto the long one. It was so worth it the views were amazing and we had the track completely to ourselves!

The last day we wanted to make the most of before the journey home, we packed everything up early and drove down to Beaumaris a beautiful, vibrant sea side town. We saw a sign for a boat trip around Puffin Island we looked at each other and knew that this was what we were going to do. We picked a lovely boat cruise around and was so excited however we got to the ticket desk and was told that one was full and the only other trip going out was the adventure speed boat trip, where you had to wear big bright coats because you got soaked ... we thought lets do it!!! We got all kitted out in the coats and life jackets and had the most amazing and funny time, we got to see loads of seals and seal pups, a gorgeous grey and white lighthouse and a boat wreck that happened after the boat had got a leak in 1971.
The short trip was absolutely fantastic and I loved being in the outdoors exploring.
